Using Valerian Root as Antidepressant

Valerian root as a natural sleep aid had been used to treat sleeping problems like insomnia. Recently people have been using valerian root as an antidepressant with good results.

Even with so many prescription and over-the-counter remedies, valerian root is still being used by many with great success to help alleviate insomnia. What makes valerian root more effective from the other is that it is mild and it's not addictive, and can be used to relieve stress and anxiety as well. This can actually be the one reason for its benefits as it is often stress or anxiety that causes the sleepless night.
