Bleeding and swollen gums are signs of impending serious oral problem. It leads to tooth loss and even gum infection and abscess formation. It simply starts as gingivitis and if not treated, periodontitis comes in. Periodontitis is an advanced condition wherein gums pull away from the teeth and form "periodontal pockets" that are infected It can also give you severe toothache which could be very unbearable to endure. There are a lot of ways to do in order not to experience these signs and symptoms. Constant and thorough cleansing of the mouth is necessary as it flushes away dirt and bacteria that cause our gums to swell. There are a lot of things you can do to prevent periodontitis. Brush, floss, routine visits to dentists for check-up and cleaning, avoid tobacco and most especially eat nutritious food and have well-balance diet.
