A child with a cleft lip or cleft palate need the same care routine that children with clefts. However, many children with clefts are other problems with their teeth. The teeth may have an incorrect or incorrectly or even be completely absent to require an assessment of a dentist who is familiar with the needs of a child with a cleft.
