Discover the various foodstuffs that cause bad breath

Although it is quite a common misconception that bad breath is caused only foods you eat, however, what you consume can have a significant impact on the overall freshness of your breath.

That is because the manner in which certain foods interact with the bacteria was found in his mouth. Despite its ominous sounding, you really need ccontradades of these bacteria, which break down proteins in foods you eat.

A byproduct of this process are sulfur compounds known as volatile sulfur compounds, which are primarily absorbed by the body's digestive system then in the bloodstream, where it is carried to the lungs. His lungs then expel these compounds through the air you exhale.

Normally, the scent given off by these sulfur compounds is relatively harmless and unnoticeable, but when there are usually large ccontradades of bacteria, higher levels of sulfur compounds were found outside and this often leads to bad breath.

So that food can stimulate the bacteria that cause bad breath?

In general there are 4 main categories of foods that may aggravate the bacteria in the mouth and make them breed in numbers that lead to halitosis.

These are:

1. Foods high in protein

Foods that are especially high in protein may contribute to an increase in bacteria as the more protein you eat, the more bacteria are needed to break everything and more sulfur compounds to be found outside.

Foods that are rich in protein are red meat, chicken, fish, eggs and dairy products like milk, cheese and yogurt.

2. Foods high in sugar

Foods that are particularly high in sugar can also stimulate the bacteria in your mouth.

In addition, eating too many sugary foods can also lead to cavities, tooth decay and gum disease, which they themselves are other factors that can also cause bad breath.

3. Food acids

One of the things we love are the acid bacteria in the mouth, to try to steer clear of foods that may alter the natural ph balance your body, such as citrus juices and tomato juice.

Coffee is also something else that contains acids, including decaf variety, it should limit their daily intake to no more than a couple of cups.

Foods and beverages that can dry out the mouth are also responsible in large part by the stinky breath.

This is because bacteria thrive in dry conditions so it's really important to avoid the things that reduce ccontradad saliva and moisture in your mouth.

Perhaps the biggest culprit in this category is the alcohol, which is a notorious dessicant. Therefore, try to avoid consuming too much food and beverages that contain high levels of alcohol.

Why identify the exact cause of bad breath is the key to curing permanently

If you suffer from halitosis on a regular basis then you may well want to try to make simple changes in diet to see if that does the trick.

If not, it may be the case that their own bad breath is the result of a particular medical condition, although they represent only a very small percentage of all cases.

Instead, the most likely reason is that the bacteria in the mouth are being encouraged by some other factor, which can usually be easily treated once it has been identified.
